Account Director – property planning at an agency who will appreciate you

This larger consultancy work on the most exciting issues facing the Capital today, for some of the highest profile property development and regeneration projects across the public and private sector. They have been hiring throughout this year and now they are looking for a corporate Account Director with property planning experience to boost their corporate and public affairs team. Based in stunning offices, as an Account Director, your contributions will be properly appreciated, and you will play a part in shaping the future of the business.

The Role

Key challenges and opportunities in this corporate Account Director role:

  • Lead and provide strategic direction to drive accounts across property planning and development, using your initiative to achieve delivery for your clients
  • Lead management of teams, working closely with inspiring and supportive Directors
  • Draft, implement and monitor corporate and stakeholder communications strategies and proposals
  • Head-up and drive meetings with clients, including those to win/secure new business
  • Manage, motivate and mentor team members
  • Provide input into management decisions and acting as a senior ‘sounding board’
  • Sell-in and oversee the selling-in by others to national, regional, local, trade and broadcast media
  • Identify new business leads and leading tender responses and pitch presentations

The Person

  • Ideally you will be a newly appointed Account Director looking for a larger consultancy with an impressive client portfolio and property planning experience – they may consider a corporate senior account manager, ready for promotion
  • You will have corporate comms skills and ideally some property and perhaps some planning and community consultation experience
  • A strategic thinker, a straight talker with an ability to condense complex issues into clear and concise messages
  • You will have the ability to juggle multiple priorities as well as manage and motivate people
  • Results driven for clients and the agency
  • Great writing skills, a hands-on approach to work and the media (likes to get hands dirty) and a good sense of humour
  • Comfortable with having agreed targets
