The firm is looking for an experienced PR Manager to handle the communications activities of two of its fastest growing practices in London - litigation and financial regulatory. This is a newly formed role working with an impressive senior communications operator who is super supportive. As PR Lead you will be expected to devise and deliver smart campaigns to further enhance the firm’s reputation in these strategically important areas. The Partners of these practices are keen to speak and get involved. You will be working as part of the wider Brand & Communications department, sitting alongside social media specialists, editorial services, video and broadcast experts which means you will learn how to leverage content effectively across channels.

The Role

Key challenges and opportunities in PR Manager role:

  • This role will lead the communications programmes for the Litigation and Financial Regulatory practices, and other closely linked practices such as Fintech, cyber security and data privacy
  • Opportunity to make an impact and stand out within the firm by bringing your ideas to the table by implementing business issues PR programs regionally
  • Scope to build out the role and develop your skills across the communications disciplines (social media/digital etc.) to advance the firm’s strategic communications goals
  • You must be a news-hound and interested in UK business issues, and will be expected to develop content and campaigns around a range of hot-topics so good writing skills are needed
  • Using your charm and influence will work to get things done although there is appetite in the practices and there are strong spokespeople
  • Proactively seek media opportunities for national business press coverage and manage all proactive press reach and reactive media relations for these practices

The Person

Key attributes and experience for this PR Manager role:

  • Enjoy ‘talking business ideas’ and finding stories worthy of the national press
  • Currently working as a corporate communications/PR Manager or corporate agency Account Director ready to take on more responsibility
  • Due to the nature of the work it is likely that you are familiar with financial services and professional services
  • Must be an excellent writer with strong attention to detail who is calm, pragmatic and has a proven track-record as a trusted advisor
  • You are a high performing, organised and solutions focussed individual with the ability to communicate across teams
  • Able to deliver solid results under pressure, be proactive in your approach as the success of this role will rely on your ideas and action
  • Current national and business media contacts are preferred
